General information

The protection of personal data is important to us. Personal data is processed only to the extent necessary to provide this website, Clarity Room and the associated functions.

Data that may be processed

Purposes of processing

AI-assisted processing

Clarity Room may use external AI models and AI service providers through application programming interfaces (APIs) to generate and process responses. In this context, content entered by you and contextual information required for the relevant response may be transmitted to and technically processed by the service being used.

Only information required for the respective function and interaction is intended to be transmitted. The external AI service is used as a technical processing component within the Clarity Room system architecture.

Proprietary system architecture and use of external AI models

Clarity Room is not a publicly available standard chat service provided by an AI provider. The conversation framework, contextual information, memory functions and Continuum are managed through Clarity Room’s own technical and conceptual system architecture. External AI models are integrated through application programming interfaces (APIs) to process the information required for the respective interaction.

Under the applicable terms of the commercial API services used, inputs and outputs submitted through these APIs are not, by default, used to train the provider’s general AI models, unless different settings, explicit consent or contractual arrangements apply.

External AI service providers may nevertheless process or temporarily retain certain data where this is necessary to provide the service, ensure security, detect or prevent misuse, or comply with legal obligations. The nature and duration of such processing depend on the respective provider, API service and applicable privacy and data-retention terms.

The persistent memory function of Clarity Room is separate from this technical AI processing. Information retained for future conversations within the Continuum is managed by Clarity Room’s own architecture and designated storage functions. Storing information in a personal Continuum does not mean that such information is released or made available for training a general-purpose AI model.

Memory function and Continuum

If you choose to use Clarity Room with the memory function enabled, selected information from conversations may be retained in a personal Continuum so that later conversations can build on previously established context, developments and relevant information.

The Continuum is designed to provide continuity across conversations. It may contain condensed contextual information, relevant developments, meanings, conversation-related states or other information derived from your interactions where this is required for the memory function.

The memory function is intended to support continuity and does not replace your own judgement. Information stored in the Continuum may be updated, supplemented or superseded as conversations develop.

Where Clarity Room provides an option to use a conversation without memory or not to save a conversation, information from that conversation is not intended to be added to the persistent personal Continuum. Technical processing required to conduct the current interaction may nevertheless take place.

Technical service providers

External technical service providers may be used for hosting, payment processing, email delivery, secure storage and management of access credentials, AI-assisted processing and other individual technical functions. Only the data required for the respective purpose is processed.

Payment processing

For paid access, payment processing is carried out by external payment service providers. The information required for payment is processed directly by the respective payment provider.

Email delivery and access credentials

Following an order or activation, your email address, access code, scope of use and technical status data may be processed insofar as this is necessary to deliver, administer and secure access.

Retention period

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to operate the website, process an enquiry, administer access, provide selected memory functions, or comply with legal obligations. Information stored in a personal Continuum may remain available for future conversations until it is deleted, replaced or no longer required for the purpose for which it was stored.

Disclosure to third parties

Personal data is disclosed to third parties only insofar as this is necessary for technical service providers, payment processing, email delivery, AI-assisted processing or compliance with legal obligations.

International data processing

Depending on the technical service used, personal data may also be processed outside Switzerland. In such cases, appropriate measures are taken to ensure an adequate level of protection and suitable technical and organisational safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

Data security

Appropriate technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. However, no transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Subject to applicable data protection law, you have in particular the right to request information about your personal data and to request its correction or deletion, provided that no legal obligations or overriding legitimate interests prevent this. Where applicable, you may also have rights relating to restriction of processing, data portability or objection.
